Mine a Planet is a Roblox Simulation / Incremental Simulator built around an automated mining fleet rather than a single handheld tool. The official experience belongs to Skydog Games, uses place ID 121125129560252, and maps through Roblox’s official API to universe ID 10406668651. Those identifiers matter because similarly named games and unofficial trackers can otherwise be easy to confuse.

This profile was checked on August 1, 2026. Mine a Planet is still in a fast-moving beta period, so the build label, event window, codes, and balance can change sooner than evergreen mechanics such as the basic drone loop.

Current build: BETA 9, with BETA 10 at the boundary

The official Roblox experience displayed Mine a Planet [BETA 9] when this page was verified. A third-party RobloxGo snapshot also carried the BETA 9 title, but the Roblox listing is the primary reference.

BETA 9’s named event was FIRST AA [BETA 9] — Overclocked! The official event page gives a July 25–31 window and identifies Skydog Games as host. That proves the name and schedule; it does not prove any hidden modifier, recipe, reward, or numeric balance value.

There is already an official BETA UPDATE 10 event with an August 1–8 window. Its public subtitle was only ??? at verification time. The safe reading is therefore:

  • BETA 9 was the current title visible on the experience page;
  • the BETA 9 Overclocked event window had ended;
  • BETA UPDATE 10 had an official event listing;
  • no BETA 10 mechanic should be inferred from its artwork or question-mark subtitle.

This boundary is why every time-sensitive page on this wiki carries a checked date.

The verified game loop

The official description provides a clear top-level loop:

  1. Command laser drones. A fleet attacks a large voxel planet automatically.
  2. Mine and earn cash. The drone swarm breaks ore and supports an idle economy that the listing describes as running around the clock.
  3. Roll and upgrade. The description advertises free unlimited drone rolls and names Luck, Speed, Cargo, and Mining Power.
  4. Evolve the planet. Cinematic evolutions unlock rarer ore and larger worlds.
  5. Repeat at a larger scale. New capacity and stronger production feed the next milestone.

Recent guide footage adds a useful player-facing view: a rolled drone can be bought, placed into an available dock position, recalled, and replaced. That is enough to plan around capacity and bottlenecks, but not enough to publish a complete current drone stat table.

What “idle” does and does not prove

Roblox’s description says the swarm auto-mines 24/7. It is reasonable to classify the game as an idle mining simulator and to expect automated production. It is not reasonable to turn that marketing phrase into an exact offline-efficiency coefficient.

For planning, record your own return-session cash or measure a live cycle. The calculators on this site deliberately ask for player-entered rates rather than assuming that offline output always equals active output. A build can also change server-side behavior without changing the broad genre label.

Six-player server format

The official listing showed a server size of six on August 1. The figure is useful when deciding whether to join a public session, but it does not establish whether ore nodes, event shards, or side-system objects are shared competitively. Treat those details as live observations unless a current official source explains them.

The Roblox page is the safest place to confirm platform availability and server access because client support can vary by device and by the experience’s current configuration.

Verified facts versus unresolved data

The unresolved column is intentional. An incomplete fact is safer than a polished but invented number.

Where to go next

New players should use the first-five-minute route to establish one working mining cycle before spending heavily. If the fleet is already running, the drone fleet guide explains how to separate dock, drone, power, cargo, and travel bottlenecks. Before an evolution prompt, use the evolution planning guide and copy values directly from the current UI.

For current freebies, the codes status page keeps cross-reported codes separate from a live redemption guarantee.
